10U/12U/14U Boys & Girls
Summer Session

Our 10U/12U/14U Summer Water Polo Session is a 10-week program that will run May 9th through July 19th (for boys) or July 24th (for girl). This competitive program is designed to teach all athletes the technical and tactical water polo skills needed to compete at the highest level of play. Athletes in this program will compete in tournaments. Our summer session is open to ALL boys and girls with any level of experience. Please note, participants do not need to participate in the Junior Olympic tournament in order to participate in our summer session.

**10U/12U/14U PARENT MEETING**
  • We will hold two parent meetings, one for each gender. Please note, if you can't make one of the parent meetings, you're still welcome to come to the other one. The same topics will be discussed in both meetings.
  • We'll review the summer schedule, including tournaments. We'll discuss team suits and team gear. We'll answer any questions you may have.

    • Tuesdays - 4:15-6:00pm

Summer Water Polo Tournaments:

Please note, participants are not required to participate in the Jr. Olympic tournament in order to participate in our summer session. Participants will have the opportunity to register for tournaments on an individual basis.

    • Held at Sierra College or Whitney High School 
  • Sat-Sun, May 21-22 - Marin County Cup
    • For all 10U/12U/14U girls & boys
    • Full two-day tournament in the greater Marin, CA area
    • Block of hotel rooms will be made available for reservation
  • Fri-Sun, June 18-19 - *BOYS* Jr. Olympic Qualifying Tournament
    • Divisions include 12U boys & 14U boys
    • Full two-day tournament (prepare to arrive by Friday evening)
    • Hosted in Clovis, CA
    • Block of hotel rooms will be made available for reservation
  • Fri-Sun, June 24-26 - *COED & GIRLS* Jr. Olympic Qualifying Tournament
    • Divisions include 10U coed, 12U coed, 12U girls, and 14U girls
    • Full three-day tournament (prepare to arrive by Thursday evening)
    • Hosted in the greater Modesto, CA area
    • Block of hotel rooms will be made available for reservation
  • Saturday, July 9 - Santa Cruz Classic
    • For all 14U boys, 12U girls, and 10U coed
    • One-day tournament (three games)
    • Hosted in the greater Santa Cruz, CA area
  • Sunday, July 10 - Santa Cruz Classic
    • For all 14U girls and 12U boys/coed
    • One-day tournament (three games)
    • Hosted in the greater Santa Cruz, CA area
  • Sat-Tue, July 16-19 - *BOYS* National Junior Olympics
    • For all qualified 12U & 14U boys JO teams
    • Full four-day tournament (arrive by Friday evening)

  • Thu-Sun, July 21-24 - *COED & GIRLS* National Junior Olympics
    • For all qualified 10U coed, 12U coed, 12U girls, and 14U girls JO teams
    • Full four-day tournament (arrive by Wednesday evening)

Summer Session Fee & Tournament Fees
The session fee for 12U & 14U athletes is $500. The session fee for 10U athletes is $250. These fees are reflective of the costs associated with running a high-level competitive program along with the rising costs of pool rentals. The session fee for 10U athletes is TBA. The Summer Session fee will not be due upon registration. Athletes/families will be billed for the Summer Session fee on Sunday, May 15th. Payment plans will be made available upon request. This fee will not include tournament participation. Athletes will wish to participate in tournaments during the Summer Session will be required to pay an additional fee per tournament, usually $30 on average for one-day tournaments. Athletes will have the opportunity to register for tournaments after the Summer Session begins. Tournament info will be emailed to all participants.

USA Water Polo Membership
All athletes are required to have a current USA Water Polo membership. A "bronze" level membership will be required for all local tournaments. A "gold" level membership will be required for all athletes who wish to compete in National Jr. Olympics. To purchase a USAWP membership or upgrade your current membership, please visit www.usawaterpolo.org.

Registration
NEW CLUB ATHLETES: Create a New Membership - since this is the first time using our new website for registration, all athletes/families must create a new membership profile. Select the "Registration" tab at the top of the page and click "New Member Registration." Please note, registrants will not be billed when creating a new member profile and will not be billed upon event regsitration. Billing will take place on Sunday, May 15th. Once you complete a new member profile, you will be emailed a confirmation with your login name. Use that to login as a member on our website (see "Member Login" tab). Once logged-in, you will be able to sign-up for any of our upcoming events.

RETURNING CLUB ATHLETES: Login to your club account and select the "Events" tab. Please note, registrants will not be billed upon event regsitration. Billing will take place on Sunday, May 15th.

12U/14U Spring Session

Our Youth Competitive (12U/14U) Spring Water Polo Session is an 11-week program that will run February 21st through May 7th. This competitive program is designed to teach all athletes the technical and tactical water polo skills needed to compete at the highest level of play. Athletes will learn the individual fundamentals of mobility, passing, shooting, and defending. Athletes will also learn the tactical water polo strategies of front-court offense and defense, transition/counter-attack, 6v5 and 5v6. Goalkeepers will learn fundamental movements in the goal and how to defend specific tactical situations.

      • 14U Girls only - 8:00-10:00am
      • 12U Girls only - 10:00am-12:00pm
  • 12U/14U BOYS:
    • Tuesdays - 7:00-8:30pm
    • Thursdays - 7:00-8:30pm

      • 14U Boys only - 8:00-10:00am

Spring Session Tournaments
  • All participants will compete in three local tournaments throughout the Spring Session. These tournaments typically take place at Sierra College, Whitney HS, Granite Bay HS, and/or other local pools.

  • K7 Cup in Orange County, CA - April 9-10, 2022
  • Other tournaments and/or scrimmage days will be added to the schedule.

This fee will not include tournament participation. Athletes will wish to participate in tournaments during the Spring Session will be required to pay an additional fee per tournament, usually $30 on average for one-day tournaments. Athletes will have the opportunity to register for tournaments after the Spring Session begins. Tournament info will be emailed to all participants.

USA Water Polo Membership
