16U/18U Boys Spring Session

Our 16U/18U boys Spring Water Polo Session is a 9-week program that will run Februay 12th through April 14th. This competitive program is designed to teach all athletes the technical and tactical water polo skills needed to compete at the highest level of play. Athletes in this program will compete in both regional and national-level tournaments. Our winter session is open to ALL high school athletes.

Tryouts for Junior Olympics 2024

Any athlete who wishes to compete on our 16U "A" or 18U "A" team for Junior Olympics will be required to tryout for the team during the first week of our Spring session. All athletes on our Junior Olympic "A" teams must participate in both the Spring and Summer sessions, and must commit to participating in all tournaments. For a complete list of required "A" team tournaments, please click here. Athletes who wish to tryout for one of our "A" teams must be present at the first two practices of the spring session.

Athletes who do not wish to compete on our "A" team, or do not make the final cut, are still encouraged to participate in our Spring session. Athletes who are not on an "A" team roster will still compete in local tournaments during the Spring and Summer sessions. There will be another tryout for our 16U/18U "B" teams at the start of our Summer session (early May).

Spring Tryout Schedule - 16U/18U "A" Team:
Any athlete who wishes to tryout for an "A" team must be present at both tryout days. When you arrive at the first tryout, please inform the coaching staff of your intention to tryout. Here are the two mandatory tryout dates:
   - Monday, February 12 - 7:15-9:00pm @ Granite Bay HS
   - Thursday, February 15 - 7:00-9:00pm @ Granite Bay HS

Team Suits

All athletes will be required to purchase a team suit. The team suit must be worn to all scrimmages, games, and tournaments. Athletes who do not arrive with a team suit to any scrimmage, game, or tournament will not be allowed to participate.

All registered athletes will receive more information on how to purchase a team suit.

USA Water Polo Membership

All athletes are required to have a current USA Water Polo membership in order to participate in our spring water polo session. USAWP offers three levels of membership: bronze, silver, and gold. A bronze membership is all that is necessary for our spring water polo session. The USAWP membership covers the necessary insurance to participate in practices, scrimmages, and games. Fees & Registration

Registration for our Spring Water Polo Session will open shortly. Login to your club account to register. If you are new to Cal Republic, you must first create a club membership by clicking the "Registration" tab at the top of the page, then click "New Member Registration." The registration fee is $495 (sibling discounts available). The registration fee will include all practices, scrimmages, and local tournaments.

Athletes will not be billed upon registration. The billing date for our spring session is Tuesday, February 20th. No refunds issued after February 29th. There will be an additional fee to participate in the K7 Cup Tournament in Orange County, CA on April 13-14, 2024.

This competitive program is designed to teach all athletes the technical and tactical water polo skills needed to compete at the highest level of play. Athletes in this program will compete in both regional and national-level tournaments. Our winter session is open to ALL high school athletes.

   - Silver group parents - 5:30pm
   - Gold group parents - 7:15pm

If you intened to participate in the Kap7 Tournament in Orange County, CA on February 3-4, 2024, then you will need a silver membership.
