16U/18U Boys Summer Session

Our 16U/18U Boys Summer Water Polo Session is a 10-week program that will run May 9th through July 19th. This competitive program is designed to teach all athletes the technical and tactical water polo skills needed to compete at the highest level of play. Athletes in this program will compete in both regional and national-level tournaments. Our summer session is open to ALL high school athletes.

Please note, if you wish to participate in the National Junior Olympic tournament this summer, you must participate in our JO team tryouts during the first week of the session. We have already conducted tryouts for our Jr. Olympic "A" teams, so these tryouts will be for athletes who wish to participate on one of our "B" or "C" teams.

**16U/18U BOYS PARENT MEETING**
  • We will hold two parent meetings, one for each practice group. Please note, if you can't make one of the parent meetings, you're still welcome to come to the other one. The same topics will be discussed in both meetings.
  • We'll review the summer schedule, including tournaments. We'll discuss team suits and team gear. We'll answer any questions you may have.

    Summer Session Fee & Tournament Fees
    The session fee is $500. This fee is reflective of the costs associated with running a high-level competitive program along with the rising costs of pool rentals. The Summer Session fee will not be due upon registration. Athletes/families will be billed for the Summer Session fee on Sunday, May 15th. Payment plans will be made available upon request. This fee will not include tournament participation. Athletes will wish to participate in tournaments during the Summer Session will be required to pay an additional fee per tournament, usually $30 on average for one-day tournaments. Athletes will have the opportunity to register for tournaments after the Summer Session begins. Tournament info will be emailed to all participants.

    USA Water Polo Membership
    All athletes are required to have a current USA Water Polo membership. A "bronze" level membership will be required for all local tournaments. A "silver" level membership will be required to participate in the Futures Water Polo League. A "gold" level membership will be required for all athletes who wish to compete in National Jr. Olympics.     Registration
    NEW CLUB ATHLETES: Create a New Membership - since this is the first time using our new website for registration, all athletes/families must create a new membership profile. Select the "Registration" tab at the top of the page and click "New Member Registration." Please note, registrants will not be billed when creating a new member profile and will not be billed upon event regsitration. Billing will take place on Sunday, May 15th. Once you complete a new member profile, you will be emailed a confirmation with your login name. Use that to login as a member on our website (see "Member Login" tab). Once logged-in, you will be able to sign-up for any of our upcoming events.

    RETURNING CLUB ATHLETES: Login to your club account and select the "Events" tab. Please note, registrants will not be billed upon event regsitration. Billing will take place on Sunday, May 15th.

    16U/18U Boys Spring Session

    Our 16U/18U Boys Spring Water Polo Session is an 11-week program that will run February 21st through May 7th. This competitive program is designed to teach all athletes the technical and tactical water polo skills needed to compete at the highest level of play. Athletes in this program will compete in both regional and national-level tournaments. Our spring session is open to ALL high school athletes.

    Please note, if you wish to participate on our 16U or 18U "A" team for National Jr. Olympics this summer, you must participate in our Spring Session and you must attend our "A" team tryouts. If you do not wish to participate on an "A" team this summer, you can still participate in our Spring Session. Any athlete who does not attend the tryout or participate in our Spring Session will not be eligible to compete on an "A" team this summer.

    • All participants will compete in three local tournaments throughout the Spring Session. These tournaments typically take place at Sierra College, Whitney HS, Granite Bay HS, and/or other local pools.
