16U/18U Girls
Winter Session 2022-2023

Our 16U/18U Girls Winter Water Polo Session is a 9-week program that will run November 29th through February 5th. This competitive program is designed to teach all athletes the technical and tactical water polo skills needed to compete at the highest level of play. Athletes in this program will compete in both regional and national-level tournaments. Our winter session is open to ALL high school athletes.

Practice Schedule - Nov 29th through February 5th:
  • All practices held at Granite Bay High School
  • All 16U & 18U athletes will train in one practice group
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays -- 7:15-9:00pm
  • Friday evening and/or Saturday morning scrimmage days will be added to the January schedule
16U/18U Girls Parent Meeting (Save the Date):
  • Tuesday, November 29th - 7:15pm on the pool deck
  • We'll review the winter schedule, including tournaments. We'll discuss team suits and team gear. We'll answer any questions you may have.
USA Water Polo Membership:

All athletes are required to have a current USA Water Polo membership in order to participate in our winter water polo session. USAWP offers three levels of membership: bronze, silver, and gold. A bronze membership is all that's necessary for our winter session (including all tournaments). If you intend to participate in Jr. Olympics and/or the Jr. Olympic Qualifier in summer 2023, you will ultimately need a gold membership. You can always upgrade your membership level at anytime throughout the year. So you can purchase a bronze level membership now and upgrade to gold later in the year.

The USAWP membership covers the necessary insurance to participate in practices, scrimmages, and games. Athletes who do not possess a current USAWP membership will not be allowed to participate in practices, scrimmages, or tournaments. USAWP memberships expire at the end of each calendar year, so if you have a 2022 membership from last club season, you are covered until December 31, 2022. When we return from the holiday break in January 2023, all athletes will need to have a 2023 membership. USAWP will begin selling 2023 membership in November 2022. To purchase a USAWP membership, visit www.usawaterpolo.org.
